Second draft of Technical Guidance on Schema Transformation Network Service published

30 June, 2010

comments untill 2nd July!

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published the second draft of the Technical Guidance for Schema Transformation Network Service (TNS) for community review and comment.
At last week’s INSPIRE Conference in Kraków, Poland, a team from 1Spatial and RSW Geomatics showcased a prototype demonstrating the feasibility of the Technical Guidance. This highlighted the possibility for vendor neutrality based on W3C and OGC standards for model mappings and schema description respectively. The workshop was attended by 70 delegates and was described as thought provoking.
Find more information on the workshop in the press release.

The Technical Guidance is available via the JRC website and people have until Friday 2nd July to comment on the draft Technical Guidance before revision work begins. Any feedback should be sent to Michel Millot at JRC.
