New Technical Coordinator welcomed by the ESDIN team

01 June, 2010

We are very pleased to announce that based on our call for a technical expert, Arnulf Christl became a new member of the ESDIN project implementation team.

Arnulf Christl is a well known figure in both Open Source and Geospatial communities and is a highly accomplished and respected entrepreneur responsible for founding CCGIS and latterly the WhereGroup. He was elected president of OSGeo in 2008 and now joins us through his Metaspatial consulting business which specialises in rapid prototyping and know-how transfer in the geospatial domain.

Arnulf said that “the project aims of ESDIN match almost painfully well with my interests – enabling spatial data infrastructures and enhancing the adoption of INSPIRE in the real world.

As Technical Coordinator to ESDIN, Arnulf will help bring the great technical work delivered so far and convert it into a coherent set of outputs that test, demonstrate and deliver a new era of Public Sector Geographic Information products and services.
We look forward to start a successful cooperation!
